Stronger Communities CIC is committed to helping organisations of different sizes, in different sectors, to engage and involve people with lived experience in the work they do. This involves utilising lived experience from people with of mental health challenges, or problematic substance use issues.
Organisations that can benefit from this cross all of society, from Mental Health Foundation Trusts, the judiciary, Police forces, Probation Trusts, Ambulance Trusts, Colleges, Universities, Charities, Social Enterprises and corporate organisations, such as banks, insurers, logistics companies and more.
We will also support Lived Experience Recovery Organisations (LEROs) establish themselves on firm foundations. We understand that the passion and lived expertise which drive these organisations must be matched with strong governance, clear decision-making structures, and sustainable systems if they are to thrive and achieve lasting impact. Stronger Communities CIC Leadership have much experience, from leading two well established LEROs (DATUS, Enabling Recovery and KIKIT, Pathways To Recovery), of engaging with government (OHID) guidance and policy.
In addition to support to engage and involve people with lived experience with the organisation’s strategy, operational policies and specific programmes/ products, Stronger Communities CIC can provide long-arm support and supervision over a period of months. This means organisations have access to ongoing guidance, coaching, and practical advice from people who have successfully navigated these challenges before. Our support helps leaders balance their lived experience with the demands of running a professional, credible organisation.
